Brazilian natural gas distribution company CDGN signed a supply agreement with Bolivia’s state-run oil and gas company YPFB.
The company’s have not yet responded to a request for information on the agreement’s volumes and terms.
CDGN is the third Brazilian company to procure gas directly from YPFB for the domestic market. In May, Brazilian gas trading companies Tradener and GBC signed agreements to bring Bolivian gas to the Brazilian market and sell it to Parana’s state local gas distributor Compagas.
Compagas’ contracts with both traders were signed with a gas price of 13.5pc of the North Sea Brent index price plus fixed values to cover pipeline transportation costs in Bolivia with YPFB’s transportation subsidiary GTB.
CDGN is a natural gas distribution company that is a subsidiary of the MDC group, which also owns onshore gas fields and biomethane processing facilities.
